Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union in San Francisco is seeking a Relationship Manager (non-exempt) to deepen member relationships and provide tailored financial solutions across deposits, lending, and digital services.

You will proactively identify opportunities, generate new memberships, and coordinate with Home Loans, Business Services, and Investment Services to deliver exceptional member experiences while maintaining compliance.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 3+ years experience in a banker role or customer relationship role preferred.
• 2+ years as a Member Service Specialist II or teller role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify member needs and present Golden 1 products and services.
• Generate new memberships and assets from existing and new members.
• Lead outreach to explain products addressing member priorities.
• Provide platform support for appointment services and walk-ins.
• Coordinate with Home Loans, Business Services, and Investment Services for referrals.
• Coach MSS IIs/IIIs on products, referrals, and needs-based transactions.
• Process consumer loan applications and fulfill loans when appropriate.
• Open consumer/business deposits and accounts (e.g., Roth IRA) and assess member needs.
• Notarize member documents and manage medallion stamp info for approvals.
• Maintain compliance with state/federal laws and security standards.
• May lead open/close duties in the absence of higher-level staff.
• Activate alarms and protect confidentiality of member data.
• Develop coaching and leadership through training and observation.
• Offer guidance on digital and self-serve channels to simplify member interactions.
