Job summary

LatchBio in San Francisco is seeking a leader to design our approach to teaching agents how to understand and handle complex proteomic data, mapping end-to-end workflows from instrument outputs to scientific decisions.

You will lead software engineers and biologists, build datasets to teach reasoning across proteomics domains, including QC, LC-MS, protein sequencing, and clinical interpretation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with genomics or genetics data.
• Experience in drug mechanism of action studies using population genomics.
• Prior contribution to a novel genomics method, tool, or published pipeline.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R.

About The Role

You will design our technical approach to teaching agents how to understand and handle complex proteomic data, mapping out end-to-end data analysis workflows and working from instrument outputs to real scientific decisions. You will lead a team of software engineers and biologists building datasets to teach these agents to reason better across:

• Proteomic data QC → analysis
• NGS-Based Proteomics
• Liquid Chromatograph / Mass Spectrometry
• Protein Sequencing
• Single-molecule proteomics
• Affinity-targeted assays
• X-Ray Crystallography
• Spatial proteomics
• Clinical interpretation of proteomics data

Requirements

• 5+ years hands‑on experience with genomics or genetics data
• Experience in drug mechanism of action studies using population genomics
• Prior contribution to a novel genomics method, tool, or published pipeline
• Proficiency in Python and/or R
