Kinetic Systems is an early-stage startup working at the intersection of computer-use agents, human data, and healthcare. Our mission is to advance the capabilities of frontier AI models on economically meaningful healthcare tasks by building novel datasets, environments, and models. We were founded in 2025 out of the Stanford PhD program and backed by Tier 1 VCs.

The Role

As a Member of Technical Staff (Full-Stack Engineer), you’ll be closely involved in all aspects of engineering, from research to infrastructure to product to deployment.

Working closely with the founders, you'll be in charge of translating research into product, building out core infrastructure and back-end systems, developing user-facing websites and APIs, and helping to shape the overall technical direction of the company.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and iterate on cloud infrastructure for running computer-use agents in secure environments
• Build and maintain data pipelines to transform raw human data into high-quality training and evaluation assets
• Develop evals, environments, and benchmarks that reflect real-world complexity
• Work across the stack: models, tooling, infra, product, and internal workflows
• Move fast, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and ship continuously

Who You Are

• Have a strong background in dev / cloud ops (e.g. Docker, Terraform, etc.)
• Have full-stack experience, i.e. you can spin up a production-ready website and handle both the backend + frontend
• Are proficient in React, NextJS, and Tailwind
• Are high-agency and comfortable owning large, ambiguous problem spaces
• Are comfortable working long hours in a high-intensity, early-stage environment
• Are excited to be on-site in SF and collaborate closely with a small team
• Are interested in healthcare as an application (prior background not necessary)
