Enclosure is seeking an exceptional AI researcher to own a significant part of our AI research as an IC. We value exploration, curiosity, and grit over formal degrees.

You’ll work on frontier AI models, contribute to experiments, and collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to secure increasingly capable systems.

Qualifications include deep ML experience, LM training, peer-reviewed output, and strong coding skills in PyTorch/JAX. AI security interest is highly valued.

About the Role

Enclosure is hiring an exceptional AI researcher. You'll own a significant part of our AI research as an IC. We care less about degrees and more about a track record of exploration, curiosity, and grit.

Requirements

This role requires deep experience in multiple of the following areas:

• Strong research experience in machine learning, particularly with frontier AI models

• Experience training or fine tuning language models or other AI models

• Have conducted rigorous, evidence-driven research across disciplines, designing experiments that test hypotheses and evolve with new findings

• Track record of peer-reviewed research in top-tier venues such as AAAI, ACL, EMNLP, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, Nature, Science, or similar

• Strong programming skills and experience with PyTorch, JAX, or similar

• Interest or experience in AI security, cyber capabilities, agents, safeguards, or other research relevant to securing increasingly capable systems
