AI Startup in Stealth | Mountain View, CA
AI Startup in Stealth is a full-stack semiconductor company founded by pioneers of AI silicon, systems, software, and infrastructure to build the next generation of full-stack AI compute solutions. The team is tightly knit, comprised of senior engineering leaders—many of whom have worked together at the forefront of AI—backed by world-class institutional investors and strategic partners.
We are looking for an exceptional Member of Technical Staff to help design, build, and scale core components of our next-generation AI compute platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Core Engineering & Architecture: Design and implement critical components across hardware, systems, and/or software stacks. Contribute to architecture decisions spanning silicon, systems, runtime, and infrastructure. Emphasis on performance, scalability, and reliability.
- AI Compute Systems Development: Work on problems at the intersection of AI workloads, compute architectures, memory systems, interconnects, compilers, runtimes, or distributed infrastructure. Translate AI performance requirements into concrete technical implementations.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Partner closely with silicon, systems, and software teams to co-design end-to-end solutions. Bridge abstractions across layers to unlock step‑function improvements in performance, efficiency, and usability.
- Performance, Measurement & Optimization: Define metrics, build benchmarks, and analyze system behavior. Drive first‑principles optimization across compute, memory, networking, and software.
- Build & Scale the Platform: Help establish technical foundations, development workflows, and engineering best practices. Contribute to hiring and mentoring as the team scales.
Qualifications
- Strong engineering background, with a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.
- Experience in one or more areas: systems software, distributed systems, compilers, ML systems, hardware‑software co‑design, silicon‑adjacent software, or large‑scale infrastructure.
- Deep interest in AI compute, performance engineering, and infrastructure at scale.
- Ability to operate with a builder mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and ownership.
- Strong technical communication skills and comfort working closely with senior technical leaders.
- Track record of technical excellence demonstrated through prior roles, projects, or research.
What We Offer
