You will balance a cash drawer daily, process deposits and withdrawals, handle loan payments, transfers, and account lookups, and educate members about Home Banking and E‑Services.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend detailed instructions and perform basic math.
• Experience operating an online teller terminal and related office equipment.
• Three to six months on-the-job experience with bank products and procedures.
• Strong accuracy and high attention to detail in cash handling.
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-sell skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in person, drive-ups, and by telephone by operating an online teller terminal to process transactions (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, check cashing, coin processing, etc).
• Process special member requests including account research, stop payments, direct deposit, ACH, payroll deduction, wire transfers, and safe deposit boxes.
• Build financial relationships with members using a consultative approach and refer to appropriate specialists; arrange member appointments.
• Educate members about Home Banking, E‑Services and other products; promote Credit Union products and services suited to members’ needs.
• Balance cash drawer and transactions daily; communicate errors and seek recovery; correct postings as needed.
• Open and/or close the branch following procedures; perform mail, deposits, filing, updating accounts, and other tasks.
• Keep up to date on policies via bulletins and staff meetings; may take on extra duties like safe deposit box billing, vault balancing, and coin shipments.
• May assist other departments or branches as needed and when time permits; may participate in training new employees; may cross-train in Teller Supervisor functions.
