Teachers Federal Credit Union in Port Jefferson Station, NY, is seeking a Financial Services Representative to help members with deposits, withdrawals, loans and digital banking adoption. You will build relationships, understand needs, and guide members to tailored financial solutions while delivering friendly service.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, and at least one year in customer service or similar roles; cash handling experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• Minimum one year of general work experience, customer service, call center, sales or branch experience.
• Minimum of six months cash handling experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, sales, mathematical, problem solving, multitasking and computer skills, and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with new and existing members to understand their financial needs and deepen relationships
• Process routine financial transactions for members efficiently and accurately (including deposits and withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks, IRA) in compliance with regulations and guidelines
• Provide recommendations and assist members with a wide array of financial solutions to satisfy their spending, savings, borrowing, and investing needs
• Educate members to bank more efficiently using the web, mobile, and ATM
• Provide financial education and services to membersto help them fit banking into their everyday lives
• Proactively contact members to schedule appointments to discuss their personal financial goals
• Perform other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor
