Job summary

Sunward is seeking a Financial Services Consultant 1 to support credit union growth through a member-centric, consultative sales and service approach. This role handles routine member transactions and assists with standard branch activity, delivering friendly, accurate service.

The position involves entry-level sales goals and proactive outreach to members, including occasional outbound calls, to deepen relationships and meet branch objectives.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience required; experience in a financial institution, hospitality, restaurant, or retail sales environment preferred.
• Willingness and ability to learn deposit accounts, consumer loans, and teller transactions within training period.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify member needs and recommend appropriate products and services to strengthen financial relationships.
• Provide friendly, accurate service to members during routine branch transactions and account inquiries.
• Open new memberships and standard deposit accounts (e.g., checking and savings).
• Support standard consumer loan origination and servicing with established procedures and lending regulations.
