Job summary

The City of Belton, MO, Parks & Recreation Department seeks a friendly Fitness Attendant to engage High Blue members, demonstrate proper use of cardiovascular and strength equipment, and help maintain a clean, safe workout area.

You will log duties, assist with tours and events, and relay member needs to the Wellness Manager. A high school diploma or GED and customer service exposure are preferred; CPR/First Aid/AED certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build friendly relationships with members and welcome guests.
• Log duties performed during shift and report needs.
• Orient members on equipment usage and safety practices.
• Assist with event setup and weekend rentals as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe operation of cardio/strength areas.
• Communicate member needs to Wellness Manager promptly.
• Identify maintenance issues and document in the maintenance sheet.
