Job summary

VASA Fitness in Waterloo, IA is seeking a friendly Member Experience Specialist to greet members, answer questions, and guide them through memberships and training options. You’ll maintain a clean, welcoming club and set the tone for every visit, helping members feel valued and motivated.

No cap on earnings with a base of $11.50 per hour plus commission; two complimentary gym memberships, 401(k) options, and EAP services are offered, with PTO for 30+ hours/week and more benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service, membership sales preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Bilingual skills or CPR certification are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet members warmly at the front desk and set a positive tone.
• Guide members on memberships, upgrades, and personal training options.
• Keep the club clean, organized, and inviting throughout shifts.
• Engage with members to promote renewals and new services.

As the first friendly face at the front desk, the Member Experience Specialist sets the tone for every visit. By greeting members warmly, creating personal connections, and keeping the club clean and organized, you make VASA feel like home. You'll also guide members on their fitness journey by sharing information about memberships, upgrades, and personal training options. Every interaction you have helps members feel valued, motivated, and excited to come back--changing lives one visit at a time.
