Job summary

Unitus Community Credit Union at the Beaverton branch is seeking a Member Advocate to welcome members, open new accounts, process loan applications, and refer to other lines of business to deliver exceptional service.

The role emphasizes proactive sales, accurate transactions, and ongoing product knowledge, with a focus on fraud prevention and customer satisfaction within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of fast-paced customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with technology use.
• Experience in a credit union or bank and cross-selling is helpful.
• Ability to obtain NMLS certification and Oregon/Washington Notary Public.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Spanish-speaking skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in opening new accounts, applying for loans, and learning about other lines of business.
• Perform monetary and non-monetary transactions with accuracy and fraud prevention.
• Develop knowledge of credit union products and internal computer systems used to manage member accounts.
• Collaborate with staff to research and resolve questions or concerns.
• Exceed sales and service goals with a member-focused approach.
