Job summary

YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Part-Time Member Experience Representative I at the Castle Hill YMCA to deliver exceptional member service in person and by phone. You will greet guests, guide tours, process memberships and registrations, and ensure accurate facility access while upholding YMCA values.

Responsibilities include handling transactions, cash reconciliations, and maintaining a welcoming, professional environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of customer service experience required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with willingness to cover additional shifts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome everyone entering the Branch with a smile.
• Provide a positive experience in person and over the telephone.
• Answer the telephone with a friendly YMCA greeting and assist callers.
• Process memberships, program registrations, and facility access.
• De-escalate situations per YMCA standards and use the 4 A’s.
• Accurately process all transactions and reconcile end-of-shift cash.
