Job summary

The Battery in San Francisco seeks a Member Events Operations Manager to own the day-to-day execution of Member Events programming, leading on-site operations from setup to breakdown. The role drives calendar accuracy, artist/vendor coordination, and post-event documentation, partnering with Programming and F&B leadership.

Ideal candidates bring hospitality and live-event experience, strong service-flow understanding, staff supervision skills, and flexibility for evenings, Sundays, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years in hospitality, events, private clubs, or similar environments with a focus on F&B.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to lead on-site service staff and coordinate vendors.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with event timelines, BEOs, advancing events, and on-site vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site operational lead for the majority of Member Events, overseeing setup, service flow, and breakdown.
• Ensure event timelines and BEOs are followed during live events.
• Coordinate with F&B, Culinary, AV, and Security teams for event-day needs.
• Act as host presence and resolve service issues in real time.
• Close out POS and provide event recap to the team.
• Manage staffing and briefing of hourly staff and outsourced labor.
• Advance events with artists, speakers, and vendors and confirm logistics.
