Job summary

You will guide Melt Supervisors and work with cross-functional teams to achieve safety, quality, and production goals. A successful candidate will have 5+ years in melt leadership roles and a background in ISO-9001:2015 environments,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; technical degree preferred (Metallurgy/Industrial/Mechanical).
• 5+ years as Melt Supervisor or Superintendent in a unionized facility.
• Melt operations experience in a high-volume foundry.
• Experience in an ISO-9001:2015 environment.
• Strong work ethic with leadership and team-building ability.

Responsibilities

• Direct a team Melt Supervisors to meet quality, safety and production goals.
• Lead quality and safety audits to maintain ISO-9001:2015 procedures in Melt.
• Collaborate with other departments to maximize data-driven productivity.
• Coordinate with EHS to ensure compliance with melt department regulations.
• Coordinate Engineering, Production Control and Maintenance to optimize assets and manpower.

Description

Reliable Safety & Flow Corporation is looking for a Melt Superintendent to manage all aspects of Foundry Melt Department operations in a high-volume production environment, as well as meet the goals and objectives set by the plant leadership team. A successful candidate will have strong leadership skills as well as working knowledge of electric melting processes, refractories and the practices necessary to sustain reliable operations.

How You Will Help

• Direct a team Melt Supervisors to meet company quality, safety and production goals
• Lead quality and safety audits to maintain and improve the ISO-9001:2015 implementation of work procedures and policies in the Melt Department
• Effectively work with other department leaders to maximize the productive use of reports, analysis, data and technical assistance provided by those departments
• Work with EHS to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding the melt department
• Coordinate Engineering, Production Control and Maintenance efforts to maximize productivity and efficiency of manufacturing assets and available manpower

What You Will Have

• High School Diploma required. BS in Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or similar technical discipline preferred
• 5+ years as a Melt Supervisor or Superintendent required, preferably in a unionized facility
• Melt Operations experience in a high-volume foundry
• Experience working in an ISO-9001:2015 environment
• Must have strong work ethic, outgoing and assertive personality and must have excellent team-building skills with subordinates as well as with peers
