Job summary

CMC, a Fortune 500 company, seeks team-oriented personnel for maintenance and operations in our steel production facilities. You will assist maintenance crews, perform routine servicing, and help keep production areas clean and safe while supporting start-up and shutdown procedures.

Opportunities include training and advancement within our Melt Shop, with exposure to furnace operations and material handling. This role offers a path to broader skills in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic.
• Able to handle extremes in temperature, dust, noise, and confined spaces.
• Able to learn quickly and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance personnel when requested/needed.
• Perform routine maintenance or repairs as needed.
• Ensure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shift.
• Handle daily housekeeping and cleaning of work area.
• Follow start up, shutdown and emergency procedures.
• Assist with furnace operations and electrode exchanges.
