The Melt Shop Shift Supervisor provides leadership, direction, and support in order to help the Melt Shop team meet the goals of the Department and the Division. Responsibilities will include selecting, teaching, training, and leading a team in all aspects of steel production while working closely with peers within the leadership team to develop consistent guidelines for the Nucor Kingman team. Additional responsibilities include managing day to day operations, costs, projects, process improvements, and engaging in and leading divisional initiatives. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
