Job summary
Nucor Steel Kingman, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to implement Meltshop production and process improvements using data and teamwork, focusing on cost reduction, safety and productivity.
The role requires collaboration with Melt Shop Operations, Maintenance, and Metallurgical personnel to optimize melt shop processes and meet division goals. Applicants should have experience in process improvement through analysis, knowledge of melting and casting, and proficiency in Visual Basic and SQL
Qualifications
- Experience in process improvement through analysis.
- Experience in failure analysis and corrective action.
- Knowledge of melting and casting processes.
- Proficiency in Visual Basic and SQL programming.
- Experience with control, operation, and optimization of EAF, billet caster, material handling equipment, and robotics.
- Minimum 1-year experience applying engineering principles in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement Meltshop production and process improvements using analytical tools, data and teamwork.
- Develop and execute actions to optimize safety, cost and productivity.
- Collaborate with Melt Shop Operations, Maintenance and Metallurgical personnel to meet division goals.
