Job summary

ATI is seeking a maintenance planner to coordinate planned outages, manage PMs in Maximo, and work with contractors to support maintenance activities. The role involves scheduling, data management in CMMS, and ensuring critical spares are available.

The candidate should have two-year trade school or equivalent experience in industrial mechanical/electrical work, with Maximo experience and IME certification maintained. Strong communication and teaching abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan planned outages or shutdowns and misc. projects: order parts, track lead times, schedule downtime, and coordinate labor and equipment.
• External contractor management: assist in managing contractor numbers and hours, and coordinate support for maintenance outages.
• PM System: input PMs into CMMS (Maximo), write PMs in standardized form, track PM completion and labor usage.
• CMMS Interface: work with Maximo team, be sole input source for WO’s/PM’s, manage spares, and write standard work.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

Planned Outages or Shutdowns and Misc. Projects

• Order parts, track lead times, develop and manage downtime schedules, coordinate labor, equipment, and manpower to achieve project goals
• Work with production and maintenance leaders to schedule production involvement
• Coordinate and schedule project work for production or any other necessary and agreed upon labor

External Contractor Management

• Assist in managing contractor numbers
• Coordinate contractor support for major maintenance, scheduled and unscheduled downtime
• Manage contractor hours, equipment usage, and point of contact for contractor needs

PM System

• Input PM’s into CMMS (Maximo)
• Write PM’s in standardized form adopted across plant maintenance teams
• Edit existing PM’s and provides proper formatting approval
• Track repair frequencies and issues, labor hours, labor consumption rates, PM completion rates, and removal of ineffective or obsolete PM’s

CMMS Interface

• Work closely with Maximo team assisting equipment hierarchies and data management
• Be the sole source of input for WO’s, PM’s, and tracking in Maximo
• Manage critical spares for assigned areas, ensuring all spares are available and deployable
• Ability to define and write standard work in proper format
• Assist in reporting, recording, and tracking of incidents, SHE’s, and safety cards

NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS:

• Perform other duties as needed.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Previous maintenance planning experience preferred
• Specific equipment knowledge preferred
• Technical certificate or 4 year technical degree (in pursuit of) preferred but not required
• Strong public speaking skills preferred
• MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project
• Ability to attain maintenance master level associate qualifications
• Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime
• Willingness to work nights for temporary situations
• Commitment to ATI safety policies, procedures, and incident reporting
• Strong desire to teach, coach, and learn
