Job summary

Snelling in Grovetown, GA is seeking a Foundry – Melting operator to join our metal casting team. You will follow safety guidelines, wear PPE, keep the area neat, and support molding and pouring operations.

Responsibilities include setting up and sanding molds, bolting closed molds, inspecting with a borescope, and operating cranes and forklifts. Reading SOPs and work instructions is essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Must follow and understand SOPs and work instructions.
• Must wear PPE and follow all safety guidelines.
• Able to read and interpret processes and set up molds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and sand molds for pouring.
• Bolt up closed molds and understand bolting requirements.
• Inspect molds with a borescope camera.
• Set and pull mold weights.
• Understand and verify riser height.
• Operate overhead crane, skid steer, forklift, and dump trucks.
• Document inspection forms for cranes, forklifts, man lifts.
