Job summary

Walsh Group, Ltd. is seeking a Project Controller for its Building Division in Mount Pleasant, WI. You will drive P&L for large megaprojects, mentor accounting staff, and collaborate with owners and joint ventures to ensure accurate cost reporting and billing.

The role emphasizes cost forecasting, detailed cost reviews, and timely closeout documentation with a strong partnership across project teams. Occasional travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of construction accounting experience.
• Experience in CMiC or other ERP systems preferred.
• Experience in reading or interpreting financial statements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate P&L on projects with large values (often near $1B).
• Mentor/train Project Accountants and Associate Project Accountants as needed.
• Represent Walsh in owner and JV meetings and relations.
• Oversee cost forecasting on mega projects and coordinate owner billing.
• Develop strong relationships with project staff and review cost reports in detail.
• Provide analytics to project Operations teams (Program Manager/Regional Operations Manager level).
• Ensure costs and billings are booked in the correct months.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and coordinate collection with managers.
• Finalize job closeout documentation and address open issues.
• Coordinate documentation on legal issues and record necessary journal entries.
