Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech Surgery Analytical Characterization is seeking an Intern in Raritan, NJ, to support wet chemistry and chromatography for new product development. The role runs May–August 2026, full-time (40 hours/week), within the Analytical Characterization group of the R&D organization.

You will work under supervision of lab scientists, perform hands-on experiments, manage samples, and assist in data curation. Strong chemistry basics and good communication are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year is required.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must not be a Senior graduating prior to the program end date.
• Knowledge of basic chemistry lab skills is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform wet chemistry and chromatography to support new product development and lifecycle management.
• Daily activities include sample preparation, testing, data collection, notebook recording, data analysis and reporting.
• Login and manage samples submitted from the stability group.
• Maintain safe and environmentally sound lab techniques per regulations and guidelines.
• Communicate findings clearly through written and verbal reports.
• Maintain lab documentation and notebooks per procedures and FDA/ICH guidelines.
