Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Summer 2027 Clinical Affairs & Strategy Intern in the MedTech Surgery area to support strategic initiatives. The internship will involve cross-functional collaboration across Clinical Affairs, Operations, and Evidence Generation, with a focus on analytics, dashboards, and business insights.

Based in Raritan, NJ, this role offers exposure to medical device programs and a path toward careers in healthcare and project management.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university during the internship.
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, pharmacy, health sciences or a related technical field.
• Strong interest in medical devices, project management, and/or clinical research.
• Only students who have completed their sophomore year or above will be considered.
• Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the internship.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required; a GPA of 3.2 or higher is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in campus programs and/or community service activities is desired.
• A high level of organization, strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supporting strategic initiatives across Clinical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Evidence Generation, and related business functions.
• Contributing to projects focused on process improvement, operational excellence, and organizational effectiveness.
• Assisting with the development, analysis, and communication of clinical, operational, and business insights through dashboards, reports, presentations, and other tools.
• Supporting project planning, tracking, and coordination activities across a diverse portfolio of clinical and evidence-generation programs.
• Conducting research, data analysis, and landscape assessments to inform business decisions and strategic priorities.
• Partnering with business areas to identify needs, prioritize activities, and support project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency through digital tools, automation, artificial intelligence, and innovative ways of working.
• Assisting with the creation and maintenance of project documentation, training materials, process maps, meeting summaries, and other business deliverables.
• Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, including Clinical Affairs, Research & Development, Preclinical, Data Science, Marketing, and other business partners.
• Participating in special projects and other assignments aligned with evolving business needs and organizational priorities.
