Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) is seeking a Packaging Engineer to design, develop, validate, and improve packaging systems for medical devices at our El Paso site. You will ensure packaging meets product protection, regulatory, quality, and customer requirements while supporting FDA remediation, process optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with packaging focus or equivalent.
• Experience with packaging validation and testing in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement packaging systems for medical devices.
• Validate packaging and perform risk assessments and FMEAs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 11607).
• Support NPI, product transfers, and packaging changes.
• Lead investigations of packaging-related quality issues and CAPA.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and supplier teams to optimize cost and quality.
• Participate in audits and customer inspections.
