Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting a Manufacturing Lead to join the Ottava production team in Santa Clara. The role centers on frontline leadership, coordinating daily manufacturing activities, and guiding technicians through troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will mentor staff, manage production schedules, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with engineering to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

• Must have experience as Manufacturing Technician for a Type II/III medical device company or complex electromechanical capital equipment with GDP.
• Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills (multimeter, isolation techniques).
• Demonstrated experience leading teams, coordinating production activities, and driving execution in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing manufacturing personnel.
• Proficiency in SAP and MES/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production floor activities to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets are achieved.
• Assign and coordinate technician work priorities based on production needs and resources.
• Mentor and develop manufacturing technicians; provide hands-on troubleshooting support.
• Facilitate shift handoffs and communicate production status and risks to leadership.
• Lead Kaizen and Lean manufacturing initiatives and support cross-functional collaboration.
