Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Milpitas, CA is seeking highly motivated Engineering Co-op students to join our Manufacturing Engineering team, supporting ophthalmic medical device manufacturing operations. Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering disciplines listed.
• Enrolled in an accredited program and returning to school after co-op.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 preferred; able to work full-time during co-op.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing process development, optimization, and validation.
• Analyze production data for trends and root causes; identify improvements.
• Participate in investigations related to yield, quality, and equipment performance.
• Assist with equipment qualification, process characterization, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and update manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
• Support Lean and Six Sigma projects to reduce waste and improve productivity.
• Assist design and improvement of mechanical parts, tooling, fixtures, and assembly equipment.
• Support troubleshooting of PCBAs/electronics, control systems, and test systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturability and reliability.
