Job summary

Veranex is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to contribute to the medical device development lifecycle. You will work with experienced engineers on electro‑mechanical designs, PCB layouts, and testing, while gaining exposure to consulting, product development, and regulatory considerations.

The role emphasizes hands‑on learning, collaboration with software and design teams, and mentorship in a fast-paced consulting environment. Onsite in Providence, paid internship.

Qualifications

• This internship requires enrollment in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 2–4 years of coursework.
• Fundamental circuit design, analog/digital concepts, and debugging skills.
• Experience with Altium or KiCad is preferred; familiarity with documentation practices is needed.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of electro‑mechanical medical devices.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and design assurance engineers.
• Develop prototype testing plans and execute procedures.
• Create PCBA layouts and perform basic analysis per requirements.
• Assist with compliance documentation and project reporting.
• Participate in client-facing meetings and internal reviews.
