Job summary

South Baldwin Medical Group is seeking an MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care on the Medical/Surgical unit. The RN will coordinate and deliver care per the nursing process, collaborate with physicians and staff, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and orders.

The role requires 0-2 years of acute care nursing experience, RN licensure, and BCLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred. The position offers weekday daytime shifts with competitive benefits and loan assistance

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care
• RN licensure in state or compact state
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred
• Ability to respond to emergencies and follow protocols

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects
• Assist physicians during procedures within documented competency
• Collaborate with care team to implement individualized care plans
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR and code teams
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards
• Document care promptly in medical records
• Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives
