Fox Isuzu Truck in Farmington Hills, MI is hiring a Commercial Truck Service Technician (Full-Time, onsite). This mid-level role keeps medium-duty trucks reliable by delivering accurate repairs and maintenance that protect uptime and customer trust.

You’ll diagnose mechanical, electrical, and computer-related issues using Isuzu diagnostic software, perform PMA/PMB/PMC services, document work, and coordinate with the service/parts team to keep jobs moving.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of medium-duty truck experience.
• ASE certifications are strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work on your feet.
• Proficient with computer-based diagnostics, multimeters, and schematics.

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and computer-related concerns and complete repairs to factory standards
• Perform routine maintenance and component service on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and exhaust
• Document work clearly and coordinate with the service/parts team to keep jobs moving
• Maintain safety and DOT-compliant repair quality

Required Qualifications

• 2–5 years of medium-duty commercial truck experience
• High school diploma/GED; ASE certifications strongly preferred
• Valid Driver's License; Skilled with computer-based diagnostics, multimeters, and schematics; able to lift and work on your feet

Pay: $50,000–$150,000 per year.

A Typical Day

You’ll start by pulling in the next unit and using Isuzu diagnostic software alongside shop equipment to pinpoint electrical, computer, or mechanical faults. Between repair steps, you’ll move through scheduled PMA/PMB/PMC services-oil changes, fluid exchanges, and filter swaps-then shift to deeper overhauls as needed. Before a truck leaves your bay, you’ll complete safety checks and confirm the work meets DOT standards, keeping the flow steady from morning to close.
