Job Summary

Homeland is partnering with our client to hire a MEDITECH Informatics Clinical Analyst with expertise in MEDITECH Client Server 5.67 and NPR. This role serves as a key clinical IT resource, requiring a strong clinical background, with RN preferred.

The Clinical Analyst will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving production issues related to MEDITECH Client Server applications, developing and maintaining application/system specifications, workflows, and code changes, as well as conducting systems testing and implementing software releases.

In this role, the Clinical Analyst will collaborate with department directors, managers, and business units to optimize the use of clinical applications while also assisting in system integration, user security, and access management. The position requires working closely with Analyst II and Analyst III to ensure seamless system functionality. A strong understanding of clinical workflows, IT systems, and project management is essential, along with experience in software applications that integrate with MEDITECH.

The ideal candidate should possess the ability to analyze, modify, and enhance clinical applications to improve overall efficiency. Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Informatics – IT&S, the Clinical Analyst plays a critical role in system selection, installation, and ongoing support of clinical applications. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of Clinical Applications
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and the Information Services department for IT projects
  • Act as the primary contact for clinical software issues
  • Work with clinical staff to identify and communicate information service needs
  • Train users on clinical information system functions
  • Test software updates to ensure system reliability
  • Participate in a rotating call schedule for off-hours support
  • Provide day-to-day support of clinical applications
  • Assist in the development of information services policies and procedures
  • Serve on information service-related committees
  • Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner
  • Promote a culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, reporting, documentation, and prevention
  • Maintain hospital and clinic standards for a clean and quiet patient environment
  • Stay current with best practices, trends, and developments related to the role
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Adhere to policies for handling confidential patient information
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service in alignment with the organization's Vision, Mission, and Values
  • Follow professional standards, hospital policies, and accreditation requirements such as TJC and other regulatory bodies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • Current professional licensure in the United States
