Job summary

Ten63 Therapeutics is hiring a Medicinal Chemist to apply expertise within an AI-driven discovery engine. You will impact programs using structure-based drug design and AI-tools including the BEYOND platform. You will join dynamic cross-functional teams to achieve pipeline goals.

Location: US-based with remote, hybrid, or on-site options in Durham, NC. Reports to Head/VP of Chemistry; level from Principal Scientist to Director depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry with 5–10 years in pharma/biotech medicinal chemistry (MS 10–15 years, BS 15–25 years).
• Deep working knowledge of structure-based design.
• Strong SAR-driven design, multi-parameter optimization, physicochemical properties, ADME and pharmacology.
• Track record of identifying liabilities in a lead series and directing design accordingly.
• Experience managing external CROs: writing RFPs, reviewing reports, attending teleconferences.
• Comfort working directly with computational output—3D poses, descriptors, large data sets.
• Clear oral and written communication – explain chemistry concepts to non-chemists and external partners.

Responsibilities

• As a project leader, push internal pipeline programs and collaborations with external partnerships.
• Provide input for the design and development of new AI tools.
• Apply AI tools to the discovery of new chemical entities targeting previously undruggable targets.
