Job summary

Autumnwind is seeking a Medication Technician in Caldwell, Idaho, working Tuesday through Saturday on the night shift. The role involves administering medications to residents under physician and nurse supervision, in accordance with state laws and facility policies.

You will be responsible for accurate documentation, reporting errors, and participating in quality assurance processes to improve medication safety and patient care within the Health Services team.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with state laws.

Responsibilities

• Follow the policies and procedures of the facility governing the administering of medications to residents.
• Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document the oral and/or topical medications that are commonly used in this facility and that may be ordered for resident use by the attending physician or the HSD.
• Verify the identity of the resident before administering the medication treatment.
• Document any instance where prescribed medication is not administered, including reason(s) for refusal.
• Report any known or suspected unauthorized attempt to access facility's information system.
