Job summary

Arden Courts in Maryland is seeking a Medication Technician (Med Tech) to administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents, maintaining related records. You may also assist residents as a Caregiver in daily life and contribute to high-quality resident care as part of the Health & Wellness team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner.
• Years of Experience: Knowledge and experience in working with elderly & previous dementia experience preferred.
• Certification: Certification required according to state regulations.

Description

The Medication Technician (Med Tech) administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents and maintains related work records. The Medication Technician may also periodically act as a Caregiver and assist residents in aspects of their daily life. As a member of the Health & Wellness team, you ensure industry-leading resident care.

Requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
Years of Experience: Knowledge and experience in working with elderly & previous dementia experience preferred
Certification: Certification required according to state regulations

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, cleaning); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment and ability to operate clothes washers and dryers and kitchen appliances
