Job summary

Arden Courts of Cherry Hill, Cherry Hill, NJ, is seeking a Medication Technician to administer medications and assist residents under the Health & Wellness team. The role involves supporting daily activities and maintaining care records with a strong emphasis on resident safety and comfort.

Candidates must hold active NJ Med Tech/Med Aide certification and a NJ Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide.

Qualifications

• Must hold active NJ Med Tech/Med Aide certification as well as a NJ Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide.
• Experience with elderly residents and dementia preferred.
• Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment; basic reading/writing; speak English clearly.

Must hold both New Jersey Certified Medication Aide (CMA) as well as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

The Medication Technician (Med Tech) administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents and maintains related work records. The Medication Technician also acts as a Caregiver and assist residents in aspects of their daily life. As a member of the Health & Wellness team, you ensure industry-leading resident care.

Requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
Years of Experience: Knowledge and experience in working with elderly & previous dementia experience preferred
Certification: Must hold active NJ Med Tech/Med Aide certification as well as a NJ Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, cleaning); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment and ability to operate clothes washers and dryers and kitchen appliances
