Job summary

ChenMed in Orlando, FL is seeking a Medication Technician to help keep the medication room organized and compliant under the dispensing provider's supervision. You will prepare and deliver medications, process refills, restock supplies, and assist with billing and patient information.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Some knowledge of MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and delivering medications under direct supervision of dispensing provider in accordance with prescription and regulations.
• Prepare medications for provider dispensing the medication per prescription.
• Process refills daily.
• Order pharmaceuticals and receive/stock drugs.
• Complete pharmacy reports including inventory and expired medications.
• Collaborate with corporate team to update center processes.
• Collect patient information for prescription and billing.
• Maintain filing system for multiple procedures.
• Assist with pharmacy claims adjudication including calling insurers about rejections.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
