Job summary

Arvum Senior Living is seeking a Med Tech (Day Positions) to provide hands-on care and support to residents during a 7:00am-7:00pm shift on a 2-week rotating schedule. The role focuses on safety, comfort, and maintaining a home-like environment.

Daily duties include assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vitals, observing changes, documenting care, and coordinating with the nursing team. The position requires CNA certification preferred, high school diploma, and a compassionate,

Qualifications

  • Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum age 18.
  • CPR certification preferred.
  • First Aid certification preferred.
  • Previous experience with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designated residents during shift; know their locations and physically check on them throughout the shift.
  • Observe, report, and document residents' symptoms and changes in condition (skin, behavior, alertness, weight, diet, activity participation).
  • Respond promptly to security system alerts and resident call bells.
  • Notify supervisor/Health Care Coordinator if a resident has increased care needs.
  • Assist with continence management and dispose of all products properly.
  • Serve and collect food trays, and report refusal of meals or loss of appetite.
  • Maintain cleanliness of residents’ rooms and work areas and practice good infection control.
  • Help residents maintain independence, promote dignity and physical safety.
  • Assist and lead residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating).
  • Engage residents in life‑skills and enrichment activities.
  • Greet and assist all internal and external parties.
  • Complete resident laundry as assigned.
  • Review service plans for resident information.
  • Assist/observe medication administration using medication observation record and the Six Rights of Medication.
  • Document and initials medications, noting refusals or missed doses.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
  • Report medication concerns to Nurse or Health Care Coordinator.
  • Restock medication cart after passes.
  • Assist in checking medication regardless of packaging system.
  • Count narcotics with Medication Care Manager or Nurse each shift.
  • Keep Medication Room, charts, and carts clean and organized.
  • Follow refill process for medications.
  • Participate in development of Service Plan and monthly updates.
  • Take and record vitals (temperature, BP, weight, pulse, respiration).
  • Report occupational exposures immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
