Job summary

Ivy Living is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in the administration of medications to residents and in providing direct personal care. The role supports the community’s mission while coordinating with nursing and care staff.

The position offers both full-time and part-time schedules with weekend availability; benefits include medical, dental, vision, and additional programs. Training and certifications may be required as per state regulation.

Qualifications

• Prefer 1 year of medication assistance in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with the resident pharmacy and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.

Pay Range 2100 to 220 per hour depends on experience.

The Medication Technician is responsible for supervising and assisting in the administration of medications to residents as ordered and in accordance with established nursing standards policies procedures and practices of the company In addition the Medication Technician will provide direct personal care encourage residents to participate in activities and work with housekeepers and maintenance staff in accordance with the companys mission vision and values

• Maintain accurate complete and confidential resident medication and care records
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff residents and guests following established safety standards
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co workers and other departments

Qualifications

• Prefer one 1 year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly RCFEBased on state regulation completion of trainingcertification may be required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN is a plus
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs Word Excel etc
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees supervisors physicians healthcare professionals residents and their families
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate participate in daily screening surveillance testing and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment PPE to prevent the spread of the COVID 19 or other communicable diseases per regulatory guidelines
