Job summary

Arden Courts of Parma is seeking a Medication Technician (Med Tech) to administer medications, maintain records, and assist residents with daily activities. You will be part of the Health & Wellness team delivering top-tier care in a residential setting.

Requirements include a High School diploma, basic reading/writing skills, clear English, and OH Med Tech certification. Prior dementia experience is preferred and the job is on-site at Parma, OH.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Basic reading and writing; ability to speak English clearly.
• Experience: Knowledge of elderly care; dementia experience preferred.
• Certification: Must hold OH Med Tech certification.

The Medication Technician (Med Tech) administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents and maintains related work records. The Medication Technician may also periodically act as a Caregiver and assist residents in aspects of their daily life. As a member of the Health & Wellness team, you ensure industry-leading resident care.

Requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
Years of Experience: Knowledge and experience in working with elderly & previous dementia experience preferred
Certification: Must hold OH Med Tech certification

Physical Demands

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, cleaning); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment and ability to operate clothes washers and dryers and kitchen appliances
