Gallaher Signature Living is seeking a full-time Medical Technician to join our refined senior living community in California. The Med-Tech assists residents with self-administration of medications in accordance with Title 22, physician orders, and community policies, supporting independence while maintaining safety and dignity.

This role collaborates with the Wellness team to ensure excellence in care and service across a luxury environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Title 22-required medication training prior to assisting with medications.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to pass background check, health screening, and TB clearance as required by regulation.
• Previous experience as a Medication Technician, CNA, or caregiver in assisted living or residential care preferred.
• Experience in a high-end or hospitality-focused senior living environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident safety and service quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with self-administration of medications per California Title 22, Division 6, including oral, topical, inhaled, and other approved medications.
• Follow physician orders, MARs, and community policies precisely.
• Observe, document, and report any medication refusals, errors, adverse reactions, or changes in resident condition to the supervisor.
• Maintain secure storage, proper labeling, and accurate documentation of all medications.
• Ensure medications are administered at the correct time, dosage, and route in accordance with regulations.
• Observe residents for changes in physical, cognitive, or emotional condition and report concerns promptly.
• Provide respectful assistance with ADLs as assigned, consistent with resident service plans.
• Support resident independence while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies, following established protocols.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with Title 22, HIPAA, and community standards.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance processes as required.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and emergency preparedness policies.
• Deliver care with discretion, professionalism, and a hospitality-driven mindset in a luxury community.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Uphold the community’s standards of appearance, communication, and service.

Job Overview

Gallaher Signature Living is seeking a full-time Medication Technician to join our team. The Medication Technician (Med-Tech) is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely assistance with self-administration of medications to residents in accordance with California Title 22 regulations, physician orders, and community policies. This role supports residents in maintaining independence while ensuring the highest standards of care, discretion, and service excellence in a refined, active adult living environment. The Med-Tech works collaboratively with the Wellness team to promote resident well-being, dignity, and safety while delivering care with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail expected in a high-end community.

Compensation: $20.75- $22.00 Hour

THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION. SHIFTS: SUNDAY, MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY & SATURDAY (10:00 PM - 06:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with self-administration of medications as permitted under California Title 22, Division 6, including oral, topical, inhaled, and other approved medications.


• Follow physician orders, Medication Administration Records (MARs), and community policies precisely.


• Observe, document, and report any medication refusals, errors, adverse reactions, or changes in resident condition immediately to the appropriate supervisor.


• Maintain secure storage, proper labeling, and accurate documentation of all medications.


• Ensure medications are administered at the correct time, dosage, and route in accordance with regulations.


• Observe residents for changes in physical, cognitive, or emotional condition and report concerns promptly.


• Provide respectful assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) as assigned, consistent with resident service plans.


• Support resident independence while ensuring safety and comfort.


• Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies, following established protocols.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with Title 22, HIPAA, and community standards.
