Job summary

Palmettos of Bluffton is seeking a Med Tech to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The role includes administering medications, assisting residents with daily living activities, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities include morning and evening care, admissions assistance, and supporting residents with dignity and individualized care.

Qualifications

• Must be certified nursing assistant or currently enrolled in a nurse aide training program.
• Must read, write, and speak the English language.
• Must obtain required medication technician training certificate.
• Satisfactory completion of medication technician skills competency checklist.
• Understands and practices universal precautions with all patients.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
• Provide physical and psychosocial care promoting dignity and individuality.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Provide morning care (bath, hygiene, dressing, linen changes) and evening care (hygiene, linens, personal care).
• Assist in and accompany patients through admissions and transfers.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and report any tasks not completed to the charge nurse.
