Job summary

Job description

Med Tech – 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Full Time, alternating weekends

We provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The role includes assisting patients with activities of daily living, personal care, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for an assigned group of residents.

Primary Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
• Provide physical and psychosocial care to all residents, promoting dignity, choice, and individuality.

Position Highlights

• Completion of medication technician skills competency checklist.
• Required medication technician training certificate.
• Preferred experience working in Assisted Living.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Knowledge of universal precautions.
• Report any tasks not completed to the charge nurse.
• Assist in preparation for admission of patients and accompany patients during admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
• Provide post‑mortem care.
• Offer morning care (bed bath, oral hygiene, etc.).
• Offer evening care (hands/face washing, oral hygiene, skin care, etc.).

Experience

• Certified nursing assistant or currently enrolled in a nurse aide training program.
• Attend in‑service programs, as assigned, to learn procedures and meet state requirements.
