Job summary

Oakmont Management Group’s premier senior living community, Oakmont of Mariner Point, seeks a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in medication administration and provide direct personal care to residents in a nurturing environment in California. The role collaborates with nurses, physicians, and staff to promote independence and well-being.

Responsibilities include preparing medications, coordinating with pharmacies, tracking changes, and maintaining confidential records.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Criminal background check and health screening tests required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe environment following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
