Job summary

Oakmont of Mariner Point is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in administering medications to residents in accordance with nursing standards. The role includes direct personal care, encouraging resident participation in activities, and coordinating with housekeepers and maintenance staff to uphold the organization’s mission and values.

The position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and high-quality service in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Prefer 1 year of experience assisting with medication at a RCFE
• Must be at least 18 years old
• A high school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact with staff, physicians, and families
• Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with the resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
