Job summary

Liberty Senior Living is seeking an experienced Medication Technician (CNA) to provide medication administration for residents. The role requires taking and documenting orders, scheduling medications, and ensuring safe delivery of treatments in a caring environment.

Qualified candidates must be a Certified Nurse’s Aide or have completed the 75-hour course plus the company Medication Administration course, with the ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly or at least ten times per shift.

Responsibilities

• Provides medication administration for residents.
• Takes orders, documents orders, orders medications, receives medications, and administers medications.
• Performs nursing procedures such as taking vital signs and other standard care tasks.
• Observes safety protocols for universal precautions and hazardous chemicals.
• Communicates with physicians and other health care professionals to ensure quality orders.
• Monitors residents and reports changes in status promptly to doctors, family, and administration.

Job Description

• Provides medication administration for residents.
• Takes orders, documents orders, orders medications, receives medications, and administers medications.
• Performs all procedures of good nursing care such as taking vital signs, giving enemas and suppositories, etc.
• Performs excellent universal precaution and hazardous chemical procedures in order to keep residents and staff safe.
• Communicates with physicians and other health care professionals as needed to ensure quality nursing and medication orders.
• Be alert to all needs of residents reporting immediately any changes in residents status to doctor, family, and administration.

Job Requirements

• Certified Nurse’s Aide, or have completed the 75-hour course as well as completed the company Medication Administration course.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis or at least ten times per shift.
