MEDICATION TECHNICIAN (CNA) - LOUISBURG HEALTH & REHAB CENTER

At Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services, we offer a challenging yet rewarding environment dedicated to caring for our residents. We are currently seeking an experienced Medication Technician (CNA) for a part-time night shift.

Job Description:

1. Administer medication as directed, excluding injections, medications via g-tube, j-tube, nasogastric tubes, and IV medications.
2. Perform duties within the bounds of professional certification.
3. Engage in continuing education through workshops, in-service classes, and literature.
4. Perform procedures such as vital signs, enemas, and suppositories.
5. Maintain documentation as per facility policy.
6. Report medication errors immediately.
7. Count controlled substances, give/take reports, and follow proper shift sign-in/sign-off procedures.
8. Communicate appropriately with residents, families, friends, and visitors.

Job Requirements:

1. Registered on the NAI registry with no allegations of abuse or neglect.
2. Successful completion of the state-approved training, including competency evaluation and facility orientation.
3. Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly or at least 10 times per shift.
