Job summary

Cypress Assisted Living in Anacortes, WA is seeking dedicated Medication Technicians to ensure safe medication administration and compassionate resident care in a small 44-bed community.

Under the supervision of the Wellness Director / RN, you will administer meds, monitor residents, document MARs, assist with daily activities, and support teamwork to maintain aging-in-place philosophy.

Qualifications

• Certification as HCA or CNA required.
• Medication delegation can be completed within 2 weeks.
• Minimum 1–2 years of caregiver experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications in accordance with state regulations, physician orders, and facility policies.
• Observe, document, and report medication effects, reactions, or changes promptly to nursing leadership.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene as needed.
• Monitor and record vital signs per care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely medication administration records (MARs) and care documentation.
• Communicate clearly across shifts to ensure continuity of resident care.
• Assist with meals, including transporting residents and supporting in-room dining as needed.
• Support light housekeeping tasks such as linen changes, laundry assistance, and maintaining resident living spaces.
• Stock and maintain medication and nursing supplies.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

About the Role
