Job summary

Grand Living is seeking a Certified Medication Aide/Medication Technician to provide compassionate care for residents in a luxury senior living environment. You will assist with daily activities, medication administration, and companionship, while supporting wellness initiatives and personalized care plans.

The role emphasizes teamwork with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle, and Hospitality departments to deliver an outstanding resident experience in a high-quality community.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • CMA/Medication Technician credentials required as applicable by state.
  • 1+ year experience administering medication preferred.
  • 1+ year experience assisting with activities of daily living preferred.
  • 1+ year experience working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, eating, grooming, personal hygiene, mobility, communication, and toileting.
  • Support residents per care plans while promoting dignity and independence.
  • Administer medications safely and accurately within certification and scope.
  • Provide medication assistance per state regulations and policies when licensed.
  • Observe residents and report changes to nursing team.
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and families.
  • Participate in wellness programs, dining experiences, and events.
  • Collaborate with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle, and Hospitality teams to enhance resident experience.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for all services provided or declined.
  • Deliver professional, respectful, timely, and personalized care.

What You'll Do

As a Certified Medication Aide/Medication Technician, you'll help create exceptional daily experiences for residents by providing compassionate care, supporting independence, and delivering personalized service through The Sterling Touch®. Whether assisting with activities of daily living, supporting wellness initiatives, helping with medication administration, working in Luminations® (memory care), or simply being a trusted companion, you'll make a meaningful difference every day.

In This Role, You Will
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, eating, grooming, personal hygiene, mobility, communication, and toileting
  • Support residents in accordance with their personalized care plans while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being
  • Administer medications safely and accurately within your certification and scope of practice
  • Provide medication assistance in accordance with state regulations and community policies when appropriately licensed and assigned
  • Observe residents and communicate changes or concerns to the nursing team
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and families while creating a warm, engaging atmosphere
  • Participate in community activities, wellness programs, dining experiences, and special events
  • Work collaboratively with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle, and Hospitality teams to deliver an exceptional resident experience
  • Esure exceptional documentation is submitted for all services provided or declined
  • Deliver care that is professional, respectful, timely and personalized
  • Help create an environment where every resident feels valued and cared for
What You Bring

We're looking for individuals who are passionate about service, hospitality, and senior care.

Preferred Qualifications Include
  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or Medication Technician credentials, required as applicable by state and assignment
  • One or more years of experience administering medication, highly preferred
  • One or more years of experience providing assistance with activities of daily living, highly preferred
  • One or more years of experience working with seniors, highly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude and genuine desire to enhance the lives of others
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English in order to communicate effectively with residents, guests, supervisors, and team members
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull, and remain active throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
