Grand Living at Tower Place in West Des Moines is seeking a Health & Wellness Assistant to deliver compassionate care and personalized service. You will support daily living activities, memory care, and wellness initiatives, helping residents live life to the fullest in a luxury senior living setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• 1+ year experience assisting with activities of daily living preferred.
• CNA and/or CMA credentials preferred.
• Experience with seniors considered in lieu of licensure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, eating, grooming, personal hygiene, mobility, communication and toileting.
• Support residents per individualized care plans while promoting dignity, independence and well-being.
• Observe residents and report changes or concerns to the nursing team.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families in a warm, engaging atmosphere.
• Participate in community activities, wellness programs, dining experiences and special events.
• Collaborate with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle and Hospitality teams to deliver an exceptional resident experience.
• Ensure documentation is accurate for all services provided or declined.
• Deliver care that is professional, respectful, timely and personalized.
• Help create an environment where every resident feels valued and cared for.

What You'll Do

As a Health & Wellness Assistant, you'll help create exceptional daily experiences for residents by providing compassionate care, supporting independence, and delivering personalized service through The Sterling Touch®. Whether assisting with activities of daily living, supporting wellness initiatives, helping with medication administration (where licensed), working in Luminations ® (memory care), or simply being a trusted companion, you'll make a meaningful difference every day.

In this role, you will:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, eating, grooming, personal hygiene, mobility, communication, and toileting
• Support residents in accordance with their personalized care plans while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being
• Observe residents and communicate changes or concerns to the nursing team
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families while creating a warm, engaging atmosphere
• Participate in community activities, wellness programs, dining experiences, and special events
• Work collaboratively with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle, and Hospitality teams to deliver an exceptional resident experience
• Ensure exceptional documentation is submitted for all services provided or declined

What You Bring

We're looking for individuals who are passionate about service, hospitality, and senior care.
Preferred qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED, required
• One or more years of experience providing assistance with activities of daily living, highly preferred
• One or more years of experience working with seniors, highly preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and/or Certified Medication Aide (CMA) credentials, preferred
• Experience with caring for seniors will be considered in lieu of licensure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive attitude and genuine desire to enhance the lives of others
• Ability to read, write, and understand English in order to communicate effectively with residents, guests, supervisors, and team members
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull, and remain active throughout the shift
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
