Grand Living at The Grove in Austin, TX seeks a Health & Wellness Assistant to deliver compassionate care and personalized service through The Sterling Touch®, enhancing daily life for residents.

In this role, you will assist with activities of daily living, monitor wellbeing, provide medication assistance when licensed, and collaborate with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle, and Hospitality teams to create exceptional resident experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of ADL assistance and senior care preferred.
• CNA/CMA credentials preferred or required by state.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, eating, grooming, personal hygiene, mobility, communication, and toileting.
• Support residents in accordance with their personalized care plans while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.
• Observe residents and communicate changes or concerns to the nursing team.
• Provide medication assistance and administration in accordance with state regulations and community policies when appropriately licensed and assigned.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families while creating a warm, engaging atmosphere.
• Participate in community activities, wellness programs, dining experiences, and special events.
• Work collaboratively with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle, and Hospitality teams to deliver an exceptional resident experience.
• Ensure exceptional documentation is submitted for all services provided or declined.

As a Health & Wellness Assistant, you'll help create exceptional daily experiences for residents by providing compassionate care, supporting independence, and delivering personalized service through The Sterling Touch®. Whether assisting with activities of daily living, supporting wellness initiatives, helping with medication administration (where licensed), working in Luminations ® (memory care), or simply being a trusted companion, you'll make a meaningful difference every day.

We're looking for individuals who are passionate about service, hospitality, and senior care.

Preferred qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED, required
• One or more years of experience providing assistance with activities of daily living, highly, preferred
• One or more years of experience working with seniors, preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and/or Certified Medication Aide (CMA) credentials, preferred or required as applicable by state and assignment
• Experience with caring for seniors will be considered in lieu of licensure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive attitude and genuine desire to enhance the lives of others
• Ability to read, write, and understand English in order to communicate effectively with residents, guests, supervisors, and team members
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull, and remain active throughout the shift
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
