Job summary

Discovery Management Group is seeking a Care Giver/Medication Technician in Mount Pleasant, SC to provide compassionate care, assist with daily activities, and manage medications in a safe, home‑like setting.

Responsibilities include monitoring resident conditions, engaging in enrichment activities, maintaining cleanliness, and communicating with families and staff while complying with safety and confidentiality policies.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care and supervision for assigned residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, eating) while promoting dignity, independence, and safety.
  • Administer and observe medications and treatments in accordance with the Six Rights of Medication Pass, documenting accurately and reporting concerns promptly, including refusal of medications or missed doses.
  • Monitor and record resident conditions, including changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and participation in activities.
  • Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities to support overall well‑being.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident rooms, community areas, and medication/treatment spaces.
  • Respond promptly to resident call bells and community security systems.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff regarding care needs and changes in condition.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, infection control protocols, and confidentiality policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Highlights:
  • Statute: FULL TIME
  • Schedule: WEEKDAY, ROTATING WEEKENDS
  • Location: 937 BOWMAN RD, MT. PLEASANT, SC
  • Rate of Pay: $19
What You’ll Do:
