Job summary

Bellingham at West Chester is recruiting a hospitality focused Medication Technician to join our team. Starting salary is $22.00 per hour, full-time overnight schedule 11pm-7am with rotating weekends, and a benefits package including 401k, health, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, daily pay and EAP.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily activities, administering medications and documenting care, plus ensuring clean, safe living areas and timely response to signals.

Qualifications

• State-approved Medicine Aide Course completed.
• Ability to understand/follow English instructions and document care.
• Current Medication Tech Certification with testing hours.
• Current Diabetic training certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
• Transfers, transports, and escorts residents as needed.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
• Safely prepares, administers, and charts oral, topical, and suppository drugs.
• Checks and prepares each dose immediately preceding administration.

• Successful completion of the State approved Medicine Aide Course, and when applicable, the continuing education course.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to document care given.
• Current Medication Tech Certification with testing/observation hours required.
• Current Diabetic training certification required
• High School Diploma or GED
